Heard a sermon during mass.. It was the priest's story about his life. His father passed away when he was young and only his mum and him was left to fend for themselves. They were very poor. His mum had the chance to remarry but she said ''My son is all i need.''. When they were eating,his mum gave him the fish and lied to him saying she didn't like it. She said he need it as he was growing up. He studied hard and managed to get a scholarship to America to study. He wanted to bring his mum along but she didn't want because she said she will affect his studies. So he went off alone to America to study. He send money to his mum but she rejected it saying that should be kept for his marriage and lied that she had enough. When he finally came back to visit her,she was diagnosed with cancer and it spread all over her body. There was no cure for it as it's too late. He cried and his heart was very pain to see his mum suffering so much. She said she didn't like fish,didn't want to remarry,didn't want to go to the states with him,didn't want his money..all were lies he realised. His mother love him so much that she sacrificed so much for him. That really touched me alot. The love of his mother was really moving. A mother sacrificing so much for her child. A mother's love.
